Chloe and Ryan went to the same school together from preschool through high school on Long Island, New York.
“We always knew exactly who the other was,” says Chloe, now 25. “We just never really crossed paths until the end of junior year.”
When they finally did, she was drawn to his confidence. He was drawn to her smile and the way she could “command a room, command its energy.”
The fall of senior year, Ryan asked her out. But graduation brought a problem: he was heading to California for college. She was taking a semester off before going to school in upstate New York.
They made it work.
Years later, when it came time to pick a wedding venue, they bypassed Long Island, California, and upstate New York. Instead, they chose Boston—a place that was theirs alone.
No family history. No college ties. Just a new city for the next chapter.
