Rachel and Anthony’s engagement session started at a place that holds a lot of meaning for them—under a specific tree in the Boston Public Garden, where they each had planned to propose. It was intentional and thoughtful, and the tree has become a symbol of that shared moment. We kicked things off there with a quiet exchange of personal vows, just the two of them. No big production, just something real and honest.
After that, we wandered through the Public Garden, taking our time around the bridges, paths, and tucked-away corners. Rachel wore a simple white dress that moved beautifully, and the two of them felt completely at ease, laughing and naturally falling into step with one another.
We finished the session by exploring the nearby streets lined with brownstones and all the character that makes Boston what it is. Rachel and Anthony recently moved here from the Midwest, so it was fun hearing them talk about the city with fresh eyes—pointing out what they love and what still surprises them about their new home.
Sessions like this are a reminder that it doesn’t have to be complicated. You don’t need props or a packed itinerary—just a location that means something to you and a willingness to be present. Rachel and Anthony brought that with them, and the result was something relaxed, personal, and really genuine.
